The companies within the Poujoulat Group are committed to working with charities and NGOs in the fields of sport, culture, the environment and social solidarity.
As well as providing financial support, we raise awareness of these causes amongst our staff, who also help to foster a positive culture of mutual support.
Here are some of the initiatives led by one or more companies within the Group:
SUPPORT FOR YOUNG ATHLETES
MAGNÉ
PAINTING FESTIVAL
Since 1988, the International Painting Festival has been welcoming French and international artists for two days of competitions at Magné in the Marais Poitevin (79).
Near the city of Niort, Poujoulat SA (FR) naturally joined this major painting event in France, which brings together about 300 artists and welcomes more than 10,000 visitors each year. An appointment placed under the sign of “Loyalty and conviviality”; as former president Claude Audis liked to remind us.
HERMIONE FOUNDATION
Formalized in 2022, the Poujoulat Group’s commitment to the Hermione association was almost obvious. By becoming a partner in this emblematic project in the region, the group is further strengthening its local roots, but it is also a nod to its long adventure in competitive sailing (Vendée Globe, Tour Voile, etc.).
Above all, the Poujoulat Group intends to help preserve this figure of French heritage and the associated know-how, as it has been able to do elsewhere with the Château de Chambord and the Manufacture de Sèvres.
PLANTONS POUR
L’AVENIR
Since 2014, Poujoulat SA (FR) is a sponsor of the endowment funds “Plantons pour l’avenir” with 5 major objectives:
- Plant / Replant (1 000 000 plants in 2017),
- Encourage sustainable management of the forest to find a balance between production, biodiversity and respect for users,
- Support an economic and social sector, by supplying local industry and promoting training and employment in rural areas,
- Mobilize opinion by working to raise awareness of all generations on the crucial role of the forest,
- Encourage innovation by supporting the development of techniques and practices of forest management taking into account environmental issues.
FONDS DE DOTATION ONF – AGIR POUR LA FORÊT
Forests are essential to our survival. A carbon sink and reservoir of biodiversity, forests regulate the climate, maintain water and air quality, and provide wood for our buildings, infrastructure and energy.
By mobilizing with the ONF, the Poujoulat Group supports this precious resource for a sustainable economy, whether it involves planting to renew forests, preventing natural risks or even adapting the forest under the effect of global warming.
SOS ATTITUDE
Founded in 2008, SOS Attitude intervenes urgently to shelter the most vulnerable in the event of natural disasters or humanitarian crises.
Since 2023, the Poujoulat Group has been committed to SOS Attitude and other companies to meet the needs of the Ukrainian population, whether for heating or to support younger generations.
SOLI’NIORT
Poujoulat supports the Soli’Niort charity and its ‘Le Cabas Solidaire’ scheme, which works to ensure dignified and sustainable access to high-quality food for all. This commitment is part of the Group’s commitment to supporting local initiatives with a significant social impact within its region.
Les PrinSEINSes
Les PrinSEINSes is a charity dedicated to breast cancer prevention and supporting women affected by the disease. Through its support for local initiatives such as the ‘La Niortaise’ charity walk, organised as part of Pink October, Poujoulat helps to raise public awareness and foster solidarity around this public health cause.
PLANÈTE ENFANTS
& DÉVELOPPEMENT
French NGO, Planète Enfants & Développement works to protect children and women against violence and exploitation in countries such as Nepal.
Poujoulat SA (FR) has been supporting this organisation since 2009 by supporting a programme of reintegration through work to train future seamstresses.
Le Fond’Actions des Possibles
The Fond’Actions des Possibles is an unconventional foundation: backed by a collective of 22 local businesses, it has been connecting people who are distant from the labour market with local organisations (schools, local employment agencies, business incubators) for the past 10 years.
Funded solely by private funds, without any grants, it is becoming a fund this year, offering greater flexibility.
Westaflex, which has been involved for five years (factory tours, work placements) and has acted as an ‘Accéléracteur’ mentor to aspiring entrepreneurs for three years, will join its Strategic Committee.
